In this journaling experience, the player takes a fictional role in a futuristic society.

The game creates twelve months of challenges that the player is recording - in retrospect. It is assumed that they have met each challenge in a positive manner, and the game is in part directed to encouraging hopeful solutions to each situation.

The society is outlined in broad terms to give some context for the writing of the fictional account, but it is based on real-world situations. The player can also create a role for themselves to set an optional outlook and point-of-view for the author of the report, titled Last Year in Lahmete.

The player will use tarot cards to assist their responses to meeting the randomly selected monthly challenges, with provided key-words and a sentence structure for absolute beginners. The game can be played in a few hours, over twelve days (one day per month of game) or over several weeks at leisure.

The situations presented to the player are based on a surviving description of the decline of the ancient Egyptian culture, a manuscript catalogued as the Admonitions of the Sage. These are dated three thousand years prior to the fictional future of the game, itself set in 2262, over two centuries from the present.
